Drinking & Drawing -Animators and novices mingle and draw together to create a short animated film in one night while enjoying a few cocktails...cheers!
Indie Workshop Series - A series of film workshops intended to benefit independent filmmakers. Workshops are taught by professionals in the field and include valuable information on screenwriting, acting, directing, producing, editing, music composition and more.
Script Club - A book club for screenplays. Members are emailed a produced film script at the beginning of the month and meet at the end of the month to discuss the script and screen the film, shaping their understanding and beliefs on filmmaking and storytelling.
Monologues - A unique production allowing actors to make their own video monologues while working with a writer, a director and a producer.
Castings - A production’s search for actors and on-camera talent brings a lot of creative traffic.
Short Film Incentives - The Centers have supported more than 20 Short in the making, some of which are winning awards in festivals.
Commercial Productions - The Centers have provided resources to many Music Videos, Commercials, corporate videos and more.
Producing Masterclass -Providing support and tools in building productions budgets, preparing schedule, financial planning and cash flow management for productions.
Feature Film Productions - The Centers have helped produce and co-produce 3 feature-length films and 2 documentaries. All of them have received festival recognition and awards.
SERVICES AND COMMUNICATION
Production Services & Line-Producing - Through it’s non-profit status the Centers can optimise production budgets, allowing filmmakers to focus on the creative aspect of the films.
Festivals - This is one of our key support, we work with Festivals in their programming, logistics and Public Relations and this in the US and all around the world.
Special Guests/Celebrity Visits - Frequently, MWCC will invite special guests and celebrities from the creative world to the building and plan events around their arrival. For example, in 2011 MWCC hosted an event, which brought successful film director and Miami native Brett Ratner back to Miami for a candid discussion on his experiences in the film industry.
